Stanley V. Schwartz, MD, FAAD

Dr. Schwartz grew up in New York where he was born in Buffalo and later moved to the Bronx and then Westchester County.  He graduated from the University of Colorado with a double major in Molecular biology and Biochemistry and did cancer research at M.I.T. during the summer.  He attended Albany Medical College in Albany, New York where he completed his medical degree with Cum Laude honors.  He did his internship in internal medicine at Montefiore Hospital and Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. 

Dr. Schwartz completed his residency at the University of Miami Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery.  While there he served as chief dermatology resident at the Miami Veterans hospital and Jackson memorial hospital.

Dr. Schwartz has been with Associates In Dermatology since 1987, bringing a high level of skin care and skin cancer diagnosis and treatment.  His professional interests include the early diagnosis of melanoma, the treatment of skin cancer and dermatologic problems caused by dangerous marine organisms as well as general medical and surgical dermatology.   He is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology, a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and a member the Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery.

Dr. Schwartz enjoys fishing, skiing, hiking, traveling, photography and spending time with his family.

Anthony F. Fransway, MD, FAAD

Dr. Fransway is originally from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. After graduating with Magna Cum Laude honors from the University of Notre Dame, he attended Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan where he completed his medical degree.  He then went on to complete his internship as well as his residency at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota. 

Dr. Fransway joined Associates In Dermatology in 1993. In addition to his practice of general dermatology, dermatologic surgery and laser surgery, Dr. Fransway specializes in immunodermatology and allergic contact dermatitis, with special interest in the investigation and assessment of occupational and allergic dermatoses.  

He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, and an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, the by invitation only Noah Worcester Dermatological Society and the Dermatology Foundation.  In his area of special expertise, he has served as officer and continues active participation in the American Contact Dermatitis Society and the prestigious North American Contact Dermatitis Group.

Dr. Fransway enjoys music, playing the trumpet, Japanese martial arts, languages and travel and enjoying his family of four.

 Kip C. Cullimore, MD, FAAD

Dr. Cullimore was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area.  After receiving his BA from the University of California, Berkeley, CA he attended University of California, San Francisco, CA where he completed his medical degree.  He then went on to his internship at University of Utah, Salt Lake, UT.  Dr. Cullimore completed his residency at the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota. 

Dr. Cullimore joined Associates In Dermatology in 1997, offering the highest level of skin care and skin cancer treatment.  . He is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology, an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery and the International Society of Dermatology and Contact Dermatitis.

Shari L. Skinner, M.D

Dr. Skinner is originally from Paducah, Kentucky.  After receiving her BS in pharmacy from the Samford University Birmingham, Alabama, she attended University of Louisville, Kentucky where she completed her post baccalaureate as well as her medical degree and continued with her internship.  Dr. Skinner completed her residency at the Pennsylvania State University, Hershey, Pennsylvania. 

Dr. Skinner joined Associates In Dermatology in 1998.  She was a recipient of the American Contact Dermatitis Society Clinical Award in 1997. She is also listed in the 1998-1999 Who’s Who Of American Women for her outstanding academic achievements.  She is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology, an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery and the International Society of Dermatology and Contact Dermatitis.

Dr. Skinner enjoys cooking, reading, traveling, running, and spending time with family.

Laertes A. Manuelidis, MD, FAAD

Dr. Manuelidis is originally from New Haven, Connecticut. After graduating from Princeton University, he attended Yale School of Medicine where he completed his medical degree in 1997. Dr. Manuelidis completed his residency in Dermatology at Yale University in 2001.  After his dermatology residency, Dr. Manuelidis received additional fellowship in Dermatopathology at the Medical University of South Carolina (2003).

Dr. Manuelidis has been with Associates In Dermatology since 2003, bringing a high level of skin care and skin cancer treatment.  His interests include melanoma, dysplastic (atypical) nevi, and dermatopathology-clinical correlation. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology as well as American Board of Pathology.  Dr. Manuelidis is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatophatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Dermatology Foundation, and the Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery.  In 2010, Dr. Manuelidis served as President of the Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery and currently resides on the Board of Directors.

Dr. Manuelidis enjoys fishing, boating, traveling and more importantly spending time with his wife and children.

Keith M. Benbenisty, MD, FAAD

Dr. Benbenisty was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia.  After graduating cum laude from the University of Georgia, he earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.  He served a combined medical/surgical internship at Atlanta Medical Center and then spent a year as a research fellow in the Immunodermatology Lab of Dr. Russell Hall, Chairman of Dermatology at Duke University.  Dr. Benbenisty completed his dermatology residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston under the direction of Dr. Bruce Thiers, editor-in-chief of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology; Dr. Pearon Lang, past president of the American College of Mohs Surgery; and Dr. John Maize, Sr., Director of the Maize Center of Dermatopathology.

Dr. Benbenisty has been with Associates In Dermatology since 2005.  His professional interests include cutaneous oncology, immunobullous dermatoses and dermatologic surgery.

He is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery and the Lee County Medical Society.  He is published in numerous dermatologic journals and has authored several book chapters on skin disease.  He has served past appointments on the American Academy of Dermatology's Residents/Fellows Committee for the Southeast and the AAD Sports Committee. 

Dr. Benbenisty enjoys music, sports, hiking, biking, boating, reading and spending time with his wife and three boys.

 
 

Scott E. Crater, MD, FAAD

Dr. Crater was born in New Jersey and raised in Richmond, Virginia.  He is the youngest of seven children.  He is a graduate of Princeton University and the University Of Virginia School Of Medicine, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society, which recognizes the top students in the class.  He completed his dermatology residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston under the direction of Dr. Pearon Lang, past president of the American College of Mohs Surgery; Dr. Bruce Their, editor-in-chief of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology; and Dr. John Maize, Director of the Maize Center of Dermatopathology.

Dr. Crater joined Associates In Dermatology in 2008 after five years of private practice in South Carolina. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology since 2003, a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, and the Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery.  He has particular interest in geriatric dermatology and cutaneous surgery.

Dr. Crater enjoys biking, running, boating, surfing, traveling, and spending time with family.  He serves as treasurer of Cub Scout Pack 140, as a member of the Sanibel School Fund, and on various committees at the Sanibel Congretional Church. He has three school-aged children, and his wife Dana is a pediatrician in Ft. Myers.
