Lexi Dougherty

Lexi Goldberg Dougherty is a Lee County native who joined Associates in Dermatology in 2025, bringing a strong clinical background and a deep commitment to serving the community she calls home. Born and raised in Cape Coral, Lexi graduated from Bishop Verot High School before beginning her academic journey at Florida State University. She later completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Georgia College & State University and began her nursing career in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in Mississippi.          

Lexi transitioned into dermatology at a clinic in Mississippi, where she discovered her professional passion. She gained extensive experience working alongside board-certified dermatologists, supporting both surgical and diagnostic care. During this period, while balancing full-time work and raising two young children, she earned her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, graduating with highest honors. Following completion of her FNP degree, Lexi returned to Southwest Florida to be closer to family and continue her career as a Nurse Practitioner in dermatology.

Lexi is dedicated to providing comprehensive, evidence-based dermatologic care for patients of all ages. She evaluates and treats a broad range of conditions, including skin cancer, acne, rashes, hair loss, and nail disorders. She is currently accepting new adult and pediatric patients in the Cape Coral and Fort Myers locations.

Outside of her professional work, Lexi enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two children—whether at the beach, fishing, or hunting. She also loves cooking and creating lasting memories with her extended family.
